Long time watcher, first time commenting. not bad guys, you could have been talking about my career path thru several companies over the last 25 years. I’m very good at what I do. reading plans, managing a project with no handholding, and interacting with the employees or other trades under my scope of responsibility. 600 employees or 16 employees, it was always the owner or upper management guy who poisoned the well and gave me no choice but to leave, hopefully for greener pastures. there’s one hell of a disconnect out there between companies and employees that could help an outfit ride out into the golden sunset of prosperity, profits, and productivity. If all contractors would finally get their head out of their asses and start thinking like a legit business, charging the minimum 50% gross margin and a stop charging like they did when they were side job bob everyone one would benefit. You dont want the customer that doesn’t value your work or company. Let them fix their house themselves or hire a some skill less clown to f up their property for a cheap price.

Awesome info, but if its 384sq ft 2 coats at 100 sq ft an hr wouldnt it be a 8hr day? Obviously 2nd coat is always faster. Just making sure the paint thinner didnt fuck my math up.

I just want to say a massive and sincere THANK YOU. I am 23 years old and run a fully licensed and insured residential and commercial cleaning business. We are now getting contracted and winning bids for being a subcontractor with general contractors and superintendents doing T.I's and ground up projects for commercial builders as their cleaners to do rough cleans and final cleans before they open storefronts with big businesses like Taco Bell, Del Taco, Chipotle etc. I was shooting arrows in the dark hoping to find success for the last year and seeing nothing and losing TONS of money. Working like a slave only to see no results. Because of your videos I am now finally clear on my overhead and breakeven expenses (and adding in my 100k salary in ), job cost, and now charge appropriately for my new clients and jobs going forward. I am finally able to hire people just now because i have no more ability to do this on my own (thankfully!!!) and I am taking 10 interviews to hire my first employees this week. THANK YOU.
